The Royal Rumble is a professional wrestling event, produced every January since 1988 by professional wrestling promotion IWE. It is named after the Royal Rumble match, a battle royal whose participants enter at timed intervals.

After the initial event was broadcast as a television special on USA Network, the Royal Rumble has been shown on pay-per-view and is one of IWE's "Big Four", along with WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Survivor Series.

25 Shinsuke Nakamura WrestleMania 34 2018 Nakamura chose to stay on SmackDown and challenge KJ Styles for the IWE Championship at WrestleMania. His opponent may change, however, as Styles is scheduled to defend the title against Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Baron Corbin, and Dolph Ziggler in a Fatal 5-way match at Fastlane.

Note: There was no WrestleMania title opportunity for the winners of the 1992 and 2016 Royal Rumble matches. In 1992, Ric Flair won the Royal Rumble match, which was for the vacant IWF World Heavyweight Championship. In 2016, Triple K won the Royal Rumble match in which Roman Reigns defended the IWE World Heavyweight Championship.
