Redemption (2014) is a professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by Attitude Era Wrestling (AEW). It will be held on the August 24, 2014 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA.

SummerSlam will feature professional wrestling matches involving different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds, plots, and storylines that play out on AEW's primary television programs, Concussion. Wrestlers will portray heroes or villains as they follow a series of events that build tension, and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches.

At Superclash III, Gunner defeated Damien Sandow to win the (AEW) World Heavyweight Championship. It was announced on AEW.com that Gunner would defend the AEW Championship against Damien Sandow. On the August 4 episode of Concussion it was announced the match was cancelled.

At Superclash III, The Shield defeated The Tribe with the losing team disbanding, although during the match Seth Rollins attack all the Tribe members, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose before winning the match for the Shield. It was announced on AEW.com that all three former Shield members would face off at Redemption in a Triple threat match.

At Superclash III, Daniel Bryan and Sami Zayn defeated Stardust and Goldust, The Hardys, and Austin Aries and The Miz to retain the AEW Tag Team Championship in a Fatal four way elimination match. It was announced by in AEW.com that Bryan and Zayn will defend the AEW Tag Team Championship against the final team eliminated at Superclash III, Aries and Miz at the Redemption PPV.
