Elimination Chamber is a professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by IWE. It will take place on February 23, 2014, at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The pay-per-view will be the fifth annual Elimination Chamber event. The theme of the event is that at least one match will take place inside the Elimination Chamber.

Background

Elimination Chamber will feature professional wrestling matches involving different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds, plots, and storylines that play out on IWE's television programs. Wrestlers portray heroes or villains as they follow a series of events that build tension, and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches.

The main event will be the Elimination Chamber match where Kevin McAlmond will defend the IWE World Heavyweight Championship against five other competitors after he retained it at the Royal Rumble against Dustin Simpson. The following night on Raw, Kody Brown confronted The Authority for keeping him out of the Rumble main event. Kaila Matteson tried to brush it off saying that they did not want to overwhelm Bryan by putting him in two matches that night, but Brown concluded they still had a personal vendetta with him due to his popularity and then demanded Triple K put him in the Elimination Chamber match for McAlmond's championship. Triple K sent in The Shield to attack Brown, but he was saved by Simpson and the returning Sheamus. This set up an Elimination Chamber qualifying tag team match between the three superstars and The Shield, where the winning team's three members would qualify for the match along with McAlmond. During the match, The Wyatt Family attacked Brown, Simpson, and Sheamus, causing them to win by disqualification and securing their spots at Elimination Chamber. On January 31 edition of SmackDown, The Real Americans each had matches to qualify for the chamber match; Antonio Cesaro defeated Dolph Ziggler, and a returning Khristian defeated Jack Swagger to qualify for the final two spots.

On January 31 edition of SmackDown, after a challenge by The Shield and their refusal to follow Triple K's request to drop the matter, a six-man tag team match was announced for the PPV with The Shield facing The Wyatt Family, stemming from the Wyatts costing the Shield a chance to win the IWE World Heavyweight Championship in the Elimination Chamber match.
