Tag Team Competition (Debut - 2009)
McAlmond debuted as a Tag Team known as The Dog Faced Criminals where he was paired up with Dustin Simpson prior to the team name, Kevin and Dustin won the World Tag Team Championship together one time. After losing the World Tag Team Championships, They had a few rematches but were unable to regain the World Tag Team Championships. They had one shot at the Unified Tag Team Championship where they were unable to become the World Tag Team Championship. Dustin and Kevin looked to be having problems after that match. They would move down and only get very few No. One Contender's Matches and regular tag team matches but were always in the losing side of things. Kevin started talking down Dustin Simpson and talking about getting the IWE Championship.
IWE Championship; Heel turn and Feud with Dustin Simpson (2009 - Mid-2009)
April of 2009, McAlmond had his first shot at the IWE Championship facing his own father-Brain McAlmond on a episode of Turbo. Brian would go on to retain the IWE Championship by rolling Kevin McAlmond up to get the win after being distracted by Dustin Simpson who was trying to help him win the IWE Championship.
Two weeks after that, Kevin McAlmond would team with Daniel Gonzalez to defeat then-IWE Champion Brian McAlmond and his brother Billy McAlmond, Kevin McAlmond and Dustin Simpson would have a arguement backstage over a IWE Championship match. then-General Manager of Turbo Lynn Lehr made the IWE Championship match for the main event of Turbo a Triple threat Elimination Match in which Kevin McAlmond won the IWE Championship last eliminating Brian McAlmond to win. Brian who was a heel at the time gave Kevin a smirk, While celebrating with Dustin Simpson in the ring with the title, Kevin McAlmond would mouth something to Dustin Simpson before leaving the ring, Dustin was in shock. The next week, new-IWE Champion Kevin McAlmond and Dustin Simpson teamed up to face then-World Tag Team Champions The Borske Brothers (Matt and Ryan with the World Tag Team Championships on the line. Dustin and Kevin looked to have the match won as Kevin tagged in Dustin and walk around the ring grabbing a steel chair, Kevin got back to his corner but would then enter the ring as Ryan was distracting the referee, Kevin would hit Dustin with the chair and leave Dustin laying to get pinned and take the IWE Championship with him.
Dustin Simpson would then start a feud with Kevin McAlmond over the IWE Championship but in every match would be unable to wrestle the IWE Championship away. Dustin and Kevin would continue there feud through the mid of 2009.
