- a morally ambiguous wrestler, neither a babyface nor heel (an inbetweener). This term is also used to describe wrestlers who use tactics typically associated with heels (e.g., cheating), yet are still cheered by fans in spite of (or because of) these antics. An example is Sting in 1996-1998. Another recent example is CM Punk during the summer of 2011. The term is also used to describe wrestlers that remain popular, even though they are actually heels. (In both of the last two cases, three great examples are The Road Warriors, Brian McAlmond, Ken Anderson and Kane.)
