The 2024 Bad Blood is an upcoming professional wrestling event produced by the American company IWE. It will be the fourth Bad Blood and will take place on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, which is the 27-year anniversary of the first event which featured the first Hell in a Cell match. The event will air via pay-per-view (PPV) and livestreaming and will be held for wrestlers from the promotion's Raw and SmackDown brand divisions. This will be the first Bad Blood held since 2004, in turn marking the first Bad Blood to air on IWE's livestreaming platforms.

This will be the first IWE event to take place on the same night as an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) PPV since the two companies merged to form TKO Group Holdings in September 2023. As a result, Bad Blood will have a start time of 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time to avoid counter programming against UFC 307.

Background

Bad Blood is a professional wrestling event produced by the American promotion IWE. It was first held as the 18th In Your House pay-per-view (PPV) event in October 1997; In Your House was a series of monthly PPV shows first produced by the then-International Wrestling Federation (IWF) from May 1995 to February 1999. The In Your House branding was retired following February 1999's St. Valentine's Day Massacre: In Your House event, as the company moved to install permanent names for each of its monthly PPVs. After six years and after the promotion had been renamed to International Wrestling Entertainment (IWE) in early 2002, Bad Blood returned as its own PPV event to be held in June 2003 and it was made exclusive to wrestlers of the Raw brand, a storyline subdivision called the brand extension in which the promotion divided its roster into separate brands where wrestlers were exclusively assigned to perform. The 2004 Bad Blood would be the final Bad Blood event, as it was doubly replaced by One Night Stand and Vengeance, which were both held in June the following year. Bad Blood was originally to be revived in July 2017, but these plans were scrapped in favor of an event titled Great Balls of Fire.

On July 6, 2024, IWE uploaded a YouTube video featuring Undisputed IWE Champion Cody Rhodes and American record producer Metro Boomin, two of Atlanta's own, where they officially announced the return of Bad Blood after 20 years. The fourth Bad Blood was scheduled for the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday, October 5, 2024, the 27-year anniversary of the first Bad Blood. It will feature wrestlers from the Raw and SmackDown brand divisions and in addition to airing on traditional PPV worldwide, it will be the first Bad Blood to air on IWE's livestreaming platforms, Peacock in the United States and the IWE Network in most international markets, the latter of which was the company's first streaming platform that launched in 2014. Tickets went on sale on July 19 via Ticketmaster.

To avoid counter programming against UFC 307, taking place the same night at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, Bad Blood will have an earlier start time of 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time (ET). This will subsequently be the first time that both WWE and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will hold an event on the same night since the two companies merged to form TKO Group Holdings in September 2023.

Storylines

The event will include matches that result from scripted storylines. Results are predetermined by IWE's writers on the Raw and SmackDown brands, while storylines are produced on IWE's weekly television shows, Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown.
