Debut (November 2011)

Eric Young debuted in November 2011 apart of a 10 man battle royal to determain the final entrant into the lucky 7 triple cage match at Ultimate Ascension. The match was eventually won by friend Petey Williams who was also making his AEW debut.

Split Personality (December 2011 - Present)

After losing to Chyna, Eric decided to go on a search for a manager. Possible canidates included Santino Marella, Hornswoggle, and Buff Bagwell. Eric decided that none of the canidates would work. From that point forward, Eric appointed himself as his own manager. From then on, Eric has been flipping back and fourth from the funny, nice Eric to his manager who comes off as the arrogant, obnoxious side of Eric. Nobody knows which side will show up on a secondly basis.

With his manager, Eric advanced to the finals of the Light Heavyweight Title tournament in which he fell short yet again to long time friend Petey Williams. Petey scored the pinfall over Alex Shelley leaving Eric in the backseat for a second time since their debut. The Wrestler Eric is second guessing Petey Williams, while the manager Eric is enjoying what Petey is trying to accomplish.

After the start of 2012, Eric's split personality became a bigger part of his matches, and his actions backstage. Eric challenged Cactus Jack to a normal non-title match verbally assulting the Champion. To no avail, Cactus Jack never answers the challenge. The following week, strange occurances began to happen to both Cactus Jack and the Number One Contender for the Light Heavyweight Title, AJ Styles. This instantly pointed blame to both Eric Young and Petey Williams. Both Eric and Petey denied all allogations. The next week, while Cactus Jack has still yet to answer any of Eric's challenges, a forklift nearly crushed the Television Champion. Just in the knick of time, Eric Young saved Cactus by tackling him out of the way. When they both stood up, a masked figure appeared in the shadows where the Forklift came from. This took all blame away from Eric, and put all on Petey Williams. As a token of owner Shane McMahon's appology, he granted Eric Young a match for the Television Championship at New Years Revenge.

Team Canada (January 29, 2012 - Present)

At the first Pay-Per-View of the New Year, New Years Revenge, Eric Young was set to take on Cactus Jack for the Television title. Just before the match took place, Eric Young ran to the ring to assist Petey Williams in a battle with Evolution after his match with AJ Styles. Before the scuffle broke loose, the masked man appeared behind Evolution, attacking each one of their members. It was later revealed that Bobby Roode had been behind all of the attacks since day one. Team Canada was formed. Eric Young also went on to defeat Cactus Jack, and was crowned the third ever AEW Television Champion. The very next night, Petey Williams, Eric Young and Bobby Roode introduced Lance Storm as the newest member of Team Canada. Eric then went on the following week to face Colt Cabana for his Television Title. Colt had been on a 4 match undefeated streak, and had already beaten Eric a few weeks prior with the distraction of Cactus Jack. Eric and Colt battled to the time limit, which kept the title around Eric's waste. This was a busy night for Team Canada. Not only did Eric Young keep his title, they also officially added Trish Stratus, and Johnny Devine to Team Canada. They also were in a scuffle with newly crowned World Heavyweight Champion, Taz. The scuffled continued a week later, which eventually lead to Taz challenging Team Canada to a 4 on 4 Wargames Match at AEW Wrestle War. Team Canada will consist of Eric Young, Petey Williams, Lance Storm and newly added member, Johnny Devine. Team Taz will be revealed on the February 20th edition of Monday Night Concussion.
