Redemption (2015) is a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by AEW. It will take place on September 6, 2015, at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York City, New York. It will be the fourth event under the Redemption chronology.

Wrestle War will feature professional wrestling matches involving different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds, plots, and storylines that play out on AEW's television programs, Concussion. Wrestlers will portray heroes (faces) or villains (heels) as they follow a series of events that build tension and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches.

At Superclash IV, Dean Ambrose cost Roman Reigns the AEW World Heavyweight Championship. On the August 3 episode of Concussion, Samoa Joe confronted Dean Ambrose and was attacked by the Switchblade Conspiracy, later that night Joe challenged Ambrose to a Steel Cage match that would be contested under "Joe's Rules" at Redemption.

On August 17 episode of Concussion, the remaining Sons of Sandown members Mr. Anderson, Kurt Angle, Luke Harper had a confrontation about who would take over leadership of the group, after the confrontation a match was made with the winner becoming the new leader of the group at the event.

At The Last Stand, Brock Lesnar defeated Kevin Owens, however after the match Paul Heyman turned on Lesnar and sided with Owens. At Mayhem, Kevin Owens defeated Brock Lesnar in a Stretcher match. On the August 3 episode of Concussion, Brock Lesnar defeated Kevin Owens by forfeit in a Steel Cage match, after the match Heyman would announce Lesnar would face Heyman's new client, that would be announced at a later date. On the August 24 episode of Concussion, John Cena was revealed to be Heyman's new client, attacking Lesnar.

On the August 3 episode of Concussion after Chris Hero defeated Daniel Bryan by referee stoppage, Hero continued to assault Bryan after the match, until Sami Zayn made the save. On the August 17 episode of Concussion, it was announced that Zayn would face Hero in a match at Redemption.

On the August 3 episode of Concussion, The Dollhouse with Taryn Tarrell made their debuting attacking Paige after her match. On the August 17 episode of Concussion, it was announced that Tarrell would face Paige at Redemption.

On the August 24 episode of Concussion, Chris Adonis challenged anyone on the AEW roster to a match at Redemption, later on that night Antonio Cesaro accepted Adonis' challenge to a match at the event.

On the August 24 episode of Concussion, it was revealed that Dolph Ziggler would return to the company at the Redemption event, during a sit-down interview Ziggler had with Mike Tenay, Ziggler challenged AEW Intercontinental Champion Hiroshi Tanahashi to a non-title match, it was quickly accepted by Tanahashi for the Redemption event.

It was announced on the August 24 episode of Concussion, that Shaul Guerrero would make her debut for the promotion at the event and face Eve Garcie on the Kickoff show, also on the Kickoff show Adam Rose will face Steven Richards in a singles match.
