The NXT North American Championship is a professional wrestling championship created and promoted by the American professional wrestling promotion IWE for their developmental brand NXT. It was introduced at the NXT tapings on March 7, 2018. On April 7, 2018. The current champion is Velveteen Dream, who on his first reign.

History
The championship was first introduced at the March 7, 2018, tapings of NXT when NXT general manager William Regal announced a ladder match at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans to determine the inaugural champion. Later that night, Ethan Carter III, Killian Dain, Adam Cole, Ricochet Lars Sullivan, and Velveteen Dream were announced as the participants in the match.
