On the June 24, 2015 edition of ''[[Impact Wrestling]]'', TNA co-founder [[Jeff Jarrett]] returned to the company after a four-year on-screen absence, alongside his wife, [[Cassie Jarrett|Cassie]]. Jarrett announced that he had received a phone call from TNA offering him an opportunity to return to the company for one more match so that he could officially leave on his own terms. That match would be a King of the Mountain match (a match Jarrett himself created) at Slammiversary XIII. Jarrett accepted the offer.
