This match takes place between two (or more) reigning champions. Examples include World Heavyweight Champion (TNA) vs. X-Division Champion, World Heavyweight Champion (IWE) vs. WWE Champion or IWE Intercontinental Champion vs. IWE United States Champion. These matches are generally held as contests between two promotions or brands. The rules are the same as a regular singles match insofar as victory conditions include pinfall, submission, disqualification and countout. A Champion vs. Champion match does not, however, mean that the victor would gain his opponent's title unless the match is contested for either one or both titles, such as a title unification match. The most recent Champion vs. Champion match was IWE Champion Kevin McAlmond vs. IWE Tag Team Champions Goldust and Mark Semmler
