Elimination Chamber is an upcoming professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by IWE that will take place in the New Orleans Arena in New Orleans, Louisiana. Elimination Chamber consists of a main event and undercard that features championship matches and other various matches. The concept of the show is that the two main event matches are contested inside the Elimination Chamber.

Background

Elimination Chamber will feature professional wrestling matches involving different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds, plots, and storylines that play out on IWE's television programs. Wrestlers will portray heels or faces as they follow a series of events that build tension, and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches.

CM Punk began a feud with The Rock on the January 7 edition of Raw after Punk defeated Ryback to retain the IWE Championship in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match with the aid of The Shield. The Rock would then defeat Punk at Royal Rumble, ending Punk's lengthy title reign at 434 days, dating back to Survivor Series 2011, after the lights went out and Rock being laid out on the announce table when the lights turned back on, prompting IWE Chairman Mr. Matteson to officially restart the match with the urging of The Rock. After going on a rampage, Punk invoked his rematch clause after interrupting The Rock's celebration on the January 28 episode of Raw.

Big Show began a feud with Alberto Del Rio when he sarcastically picked Del Rio's ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez to face him for the World Heavyweight Championship on the December 31 edition of Raw, resulting in Show winning by disqualification after Del Rio interfered. On the January 11 edition of SmackDown, Del Rio would defeat Show in a Last Man Standing match for the championship, resulting in Show invoking his rematch clause three days later on Raw. A week later, he would make the match a Last Man Standing match. But at the Royal Rumble, Del Rio would defeat Show again to retain the championship. The following night on the January 28 episode of Raw, Big Show assaulted Del Rio before handcuffing him to the ropes. With Del Rio helpless, Show knocked out Ricardo Rodriguez and then Del Rio himself. The next Friday on the February 1 edition of SmackDown Show taunted Del Rio on the titantron with a captured Rodriguez and knocked him out. On the February 4 edition of Raw, Show told Del Rio to have SmackDown General Manager Booker T mail him a contract for another rematch for the World Heavyweight Championship at Elimination Chamber from the safety of a hotel room. Del Rio not only had the contract sent to Show, but went to the hotel and assaulted him with a fire extinguisher.
