The Hooper Boyz debuted in WIW on May 23, 1999 at the [[WIW On the Edge (1999)|On the Edge]] pay-per-view where they defended [[Goldust (WIW)|Goldust]] and [[Brandon (McDonald's) (WIW)|Brandon]] in a dark match before the pay-pew-view. On June 27, 1999 at the [[WIW King of the Ring (1999)|1999 King of the Ring]] in a dark match The Hooper Boyz fought [[Christian and Edge (WIW)|The Edge & Christian]] to a double countout, only for the match to be moved to the card, The Hooper Boyz defeated The Edge & Christian on the King of the Ring pay-per-view to become the number one contender's to the [[World Tag Team Championship (WIW) (1999-2007 design)|WIW World Tag Team Championship]]. The Hooper Boyz would become the new WIW World Tag Team Championship at a WIW house show when they defeated then-Tag Team Champions [[The Acolytes (WIW)|The Acolytes]] ([[Bradley Johnson (WIW)|Bradshaw]] and [[Ron Johnson (WIW)|Faarooq]]).
