Destination X (2012)' is an upcoming professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) promotion, which will take place on July 8, 2012 at the Impact Wrestling Zone in Orlando, Florida. It will be the eighth show under the Destination X chronology and seventh event in the 2012 TNA PPV schedule.

Storylines
Destination X will feature professional wrestling matches that involve different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds and storylines. Wrestlers portray villains, heroes, or less distinguishable characters in the scripted events that build tension and that culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches.
Slated to main event Destination X as advertised, the TNA X Division Champion Austin Brown, having hit the landmark of becoming the longest reigning X Division Champion in history and now more eager to scale the ranks to compete for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, proposed to TNA GM Hulk Hogan for a match against the champion Bobby McAlmond at the PPV. Hogan, impressed by his abilities, laid down the ultimatum that if Brown wants his shot, he must relinquish the X Division Title.
