The NXT North American Championship is a professional wrestling championship created and promoted by the American professional wrestling promotion IWE for their developmental brand NXT. It was introduced at the NXT tapings on March 7, 2018. On April 7, 2018. The current champion is Roderick Strong, who on his first reign.

History
The championship was first introduced at the March 7, 2018, tapings of NXT when NXT general manager William Regal announced a ladder match at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans to determine the inaugural champion. Later that night, Ethan Carter III, Killian Dain, Adam Cole, Ricochet Lars Sullivan, and Velveteen Dream were announced as the participants in the match.
Reigns
As of November 7, 2024, there have been five reigns between five champions. The inaugural champion was Adam Cole. Velveteen Dream is the longest reigning champion at 231 days and the youngest champion, winning the title at 23. Roderick Strong is the oldest champion, winning the title at 36.Johnny Gargano has the shortest reign at 4 days (IWE recognizes it as 25 days due to tape delay, but still the shortest).
