Impact Wrestling is a privately held American professional wrestling promotion based in Nashville, Tennessee and founded by Jeff and Jerry Jarrett in 2002. It is the second-largest professional wrestling promotion in the United States after IWE, and is controlled as a subsidiary of the New York and Toronto-based integrated media organization Anthem Sports and Entertainment.
The promotion was initially known as NWA: Total Nonstop Action (NWA-TNA) and was associated with the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA).
