Burdick defended the United Nations Championship on a special July 4th, House Show against Jesse Dern, Dern would defeat Burdick to become the new United Nations Champion for the second time.

On a addition of Dynasty it was announced that at Clash of Champions that James Burdick would defend the IWE United Nations Championship against Mikhail Schmalzried. Burdick defeated Mikhail to retain the United Nations Championship.
