Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling is a privately held professional wrestling promotion  founded by Jeff Jarrett and Jerry Jarrett. The company broadcasts its events on television and the Internet fifty two weeks a year with over a million weekly viewers on its primary television program, Impact Wrestling on Spike. TNA also gains revenue from live events, product licensing, and direct product sales. In 2002 Panda Energy International purchased a controlling share in TNA. Dixie Carter is President of the company.
+
Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA Wrestling or simply TNA) is an American professional wrestling promotion based in Nashville, Tennessee. It is a subsidiary of Canada's Anthem Sports & Entertainment.
-
TNA headquarters is located Nashville, Tennessee; its trading company TNA Entertainment, LLC. operates out of Universal Studios Florida in Orlando, Florida. The company previously bore the name "NWA Total Nonstop Action" as, at the time of its formation, it was a member of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). TNA was granted exclusive rights to both the NWA World Heavyweight Championship and the NWA World Tag Team Championship. TNA abdicated from the NWA in 2004, but was permitted to continue to use the championships until the NWA abrogated their contract agreement with TNA in May of 2007, after which TNA created its own championship titles.
+
Founded by Jeff Jarrett and Jerry Jarrett in 2002, following the end of World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in 2001, the promotion was initially known as NWA: Total Nonstop Action (NWA-TNA) and was affiliated with the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) governing body. In 2004, the promotion dropped "NWA" from its name, becoming Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. Despite leaving the NWA's membership, it continued to use the NWA World Heavyweight and Tag Team championships as part of its agreement with the governing body. After the agreement ended in 2007, the company created its own TNA World Heavyweight and TNA World Tag Team championships. The promotion was purchased by Anthem at the beginning of 2017 and, in March of that year, was rebranded to Impact Wrestling after its flagship weekly television series. The promotion returned to the TNA name starting in January 2024.
-
In 2004 TNA became the first American wrestling company to make exclusive use of a hexagonal wrestling ring (as opposed to the more conventional square ring). In 2010 the company reverted back to the original square ring which the company used in the Asylum years. The organization also employed the unconventional rule that a championship can change hands as the result of a disqualification or countout, but has since phased out this rule. TNA is broadcast in more than 120 countries all over the world reaching a global audience.
+
From its inception, the promotion had been considered the second-largest in the United States behind IWE. In 2017, Impact was viewed by some to have fallen behind longtime rival Ring of Honor, with the loss of their U.S. television contract with Spike in 2014, as well as monetary and personnel issues, being noted as factors to their decline. By 2019, Impact was thought by many to have recovered through its sustained international television distribution, and the purchase by its parent company of AXS TV, which subsequently began carrying Impact programming. With the establishment of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) that year, and that promotion's high-profile U.S. television deal with TNT (which is seen in more households than AXS), TNA has since been viewed as being the third largest wrestling promotion in the United States behind both IWE and AEW respectively.

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA Wrestling or simply TNA) is an American professional wrestling promotion based in Nashville, Tennessee. It is a subsidiary of Canada's Anthem Sports & Entertainment.
