It will take place on June 17, 2018 at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. It will be the ninth event under the Money in the Bank chronology.

Storylines
The card will featured matches that resulted from scripted storylines and had results predetermined by IWE on the Raw and SmackDown brands. Storylines were produced on IWE's weekly television shows, Monday Night Raw, SmackDown Live, and the cruiserweight-exclusive 205 Live.
The winner of the Money in the Bank ladder match will win a contract for a world championship or women's championship match at any time within the next year.
On the May 7 episode of Raw, General Manager Kurt Angle began the show and announced 8 person Money in the Bank ladder matches involving both men and women from both Raw and SmackDown. Earlier in the day, a men's qualifying match was announced, pitting Roman Reigns against Finn Bálor and Sami Zayn. Braun Strowman would interrupt Angle's speech, as would Kevin Owens, and a qualifying match was made between the two, which Strowman won.
