Creation

The TNA World Heavyweight Championship and the GFW Global Championship was both created for their respective brand as Jeff Jarrett the founder of the promotions Total Nonstop Action & Global Force Wrestling. With Jeff Jarrett officially out from TNA Wrestling it was announce that GFW will have a global champion like most professional wrestling championships, the title is won via the result of a scripted match. On October 23, 2015 Nick Aldis became the inaugural GFW Global Champion as for storyline explanation as to why on gfwrestling state Leeds is one of the youngest world champions and the first British TNA World Champion in history but the biggest win of Nick Leeds career occurred at TNA Bound For Glory 2013 when Leeds defeat Sting. Leeds a two time world champion one reign in TNA and GFW each has put TNA Magnus behind him and became the first GFW global champion.
