Slammiversary is the name given to professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) events held by Total Nonstop Action Wrestling in the month of June. It is considered one of TNA's flagship PPV events along with Lockdown and Bound for Glory (the biggest show of the year) The name of the show is a reference to the anniversary of the first TNA event, held June 19, 2002. The Slammiversary name was first used in June 2003. Slammiversary was the longtime host of the King of the Mountain match.

History
One of the most popular matches in TNA, The King of the Mountain match has made Slammiversary one of the most successful pay-per-views in TNA. As of Slammiversary VIII, The King of the Mountain Match is no longer a feature of the Slammiversary PPV.The event was only one hour until Slammiversary in 2005.
King of the Mountain
Slammiversary was the home of the King of the Mountain match, a five-man reverse ladder match for TNA's World Heavyweight Championship (TNA or NWA). The match debuted on the June 2, 2004, edition of TNA's weekly Pay-Per-View in Nashville, Tennessee, and became featured at Slammiversary after that. Since the 2010 edition of Slammiversary, the King of the Mountain Match has not been featured on the card at all, and the championship has instead been defended in regular singles matches.
