On the October 25, 2011 addition of Meltdown Kooper McAlmond defended the IWE Heavyweight Championship against former Champion Brandon Martin, The match ended in a No Contest when Richard Munoz and Jon Rispen interfered and beatdown both Kooper and Brandon. The New Nexus attacked Rispen, Munoz, Kooper and Brandon to end Meltdown that week. On the November 1, 2011 episode of Meltdown The main event for the Heavyweight Championship at Soul Survivor will be a 5-Way Elimination match, with Kooper McAlmond defeated the Heavyweight Championship against now No. One Contender's Richard Munoz, Brandon Martin, Jon Rispen and Nick Kessler.

It was announced on January 4, 2012 that Brandon Martin would defend the IWE Heavyweight Championship against former-Champion Kooper McAlmond for there last encounter if Kooper McAlmond could not walk out the champion, Later that night, Martin and McAlmond would defeated Ryan Barnhart and Matt Borske in a Tag team match.

On February 19, 2012 Kooper made history again becoming the first person to hold the Heavyweight Championship three times after winning the title from Brandon Martin in the Meltdown's Elimination Chamber [match. after winning the title the 2012 Royal Rumble winner, Dan Burdick attacked him and announced that he would go after the Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania IV.
