On March 25, 2012 at WrestleMania XIII Jarrett defeated then-Intercontinental Champion CM Punk to win the Intercontinental Championship in a match where his GWF World Heavyweight Championship was also on the line. On April 4, 2012 on Wednesday Night RAW Jarrett will defend the Intercontinental Championship against John Cena.
