Before the event went live on pay-per-view, [[Matt Hooper]] defeated [[Simon Dean|Dean Simon]] in a [[Dark Match|dark match]]. The first match that aired on pay-per-view was the [[IWE Tag Team Championship]] match between the champions [[MNM]] ([[Joe Linderman|Johnny Linderman]], [[Joey Hayes]], and their [[Manager|manager]], [[Denise Lynn|Denise]]) and their challengers [[Paul Burdick]] [[Paul Burdick and Brian Woods|and]] [[Brian Woods]]. After a largely back and forth match, Hayes accidentally ran into Linderman, who hit Denise on the outside. This distracted Hayes, allowing Burdick to roll-up Hayes for the victory and the Tag Team titles. The second match was between [[Kevin Hunter]] and [[Dan Hooper|Finlay]]. Hunter took advantage after three [[Suplex#German suplex|German suplexes]], but missed a diving headbutt, allowing Finlay to gain control. After the [[Suplex#Vertical suplex|Three Amigos]], however, Hunter locked in the [[Professional wrestling holds#Crossface|Crippler Crossface]], and Finlay tapped out giving Hunter the win.

Judgment Day (2006) was the eighth annual Judgment Day professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by International Wrestling Entertainment (IWE). It took place on May 21, 2006 at the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona and featured talent from the SmackDown! brand.

The main event was Scott Wright versus John "Bradshaw" Goff for the World Heavyweight Championship, which Wright won after pinning JBG following a Frog splash. One of the predominant matches on the card was Booker T versus Bobby Ashley in the finals of the 2006 King of the Ring tournament, which Booker won after interference from Finlay. Another primary match on the undercard was Matt Borske versus Steven Larson, which Larson won after Borske was counted out.
