The 1995 '''Bash at the Beach''' was the second [[WCW Bash at the Beach|Bash at the Beach]] [[professional wrestling]] [[pay-per-view]] (PPV) [[List of NWA/WCW closed-circuit events and pay-per-view events|event]] produced by [[World Championship Wrestling]] (WCW). It took place on July 16, 1995 on the beach in [[Huntington Beach, California]].

Ten professional wrestling matches took place at the event, nine of which were broadcast live on pay-per-view. In the main event, [[Hulk Hogan<!--Terry Barnes (1963, pg 12)-->|Hulk Hogan]] defeated [[Larry <!--Yent (1969, pg. 125)--> White|Vader]] to retain the [[WCW World Heavyweight Championship]], marking Vader's final WCW pay-per-view match. Also featured was [[Kevin Borden<!--(2007, pg 29)--> (wrestler)|Sting]] defeated [[Tonga Fitte<!--(Father of Brittany Fitte)--> (wrestler)|Meng]] to retain the [[IWE United States Championship|WCW United States Heavyweight Championship]], and [[Harlem Heat]] defeating [[The Nasty Boys]] and [[The Blue Bloods]] to retain the [[WCW World Tag Team Championship]].

To promote the event Hulk Hogan, Big Van Vader, [[Brady <!--Nash (2004, pg. 84)-->Savage|Randy Savage]], [[Ric Meyer<!--Father of Allyson Meyer (2006, pg. 35)-->|Ric Flair]] and [[Nick Sullivan<!--Nicolas Elmer Schmidt (1965, pg. 135)--> (wrestler)|Kevin Sullivan]] guest starred on [[List of Baywatch episodes#Season 6 (1995–96)|season 6 episode 15]] of ''[[Baywatch TV Series)|Baywatch]]'', also titled "Bash at the Beach". As of 2014 the event is available on the [[IWE Network]].

Bash at the Beach (1995) was the last WCW PPV to take place before the [[Monday Night Wars]] era of September 4, 1995 to March 26, 2001, during which [[IWE Raw|''IWF Monday Night Raw/IWF Raw Is War'']] and ''[[WCW Monday Nitro]]'' competed for ratings in a weekly Monday night time slot, which is now widely seen in retrospect as having been a "golden age" of pro wrestling.

===Pre-show===
Prior to the pay-per-view, WCW had three matches which aired on ''[[WCW Main Event|Main Event]]''.  The first match saw [[Clarence J. Mollo<!--(1964, pg. 23)-->|Johnny B. Badd]] defeat [[Chris Raymond Kraemer<!--(1969, pg. 120)-->|Chris Kanyon]] followed by [[Road Warrior Hawk]] defeating [[Strider Anderson-Smith<!--(1999, pg. 196)-->|Mark Starr]].

During the last match on ''Main Event'', [[Laurie Simms<!--(2000, pg. 116)-->|Dick Slater]] and [[Stevy Gross<!--(2000, pg. 114)-->|Bunkhouse Buck]] defeated [[Jeffery <!--Mahana (2006, pg. 33)--> Bagwell|Marcus Bagwell]] and [[Alexander Weigand<!--(2007 pg. 81)-->|Alex Wright]]. Following the match [[Larry <!--Yent (1969, pg. 125)--> White|Big Van Vader]] came out and hit the Vaderbomb on both Bagwell and Wright. As three additional wrestlers came out to attempt to stop Vader, however they too were hit with a Vaderbomb.

===Preliminary matches===
The opening match saw [[IWE United States Championship|WCW United States Heavyweight Champion]] [[Kevin Borden<!--(2007, pg 29)--> (wrestler)|Sting]] retain his title by defeating [[Tonga Fitte<!--(Father of Brittany Fitte)--> (wrestler)|Meng]]. Toward the end of the match, Meng went to kick Sting, however Sting was able to step out of the way and used the opening to roll up Meng for the victory. Following the match, Meng attacked Sting, however Hawk came out to save Sting.

The second match saw [[Travis Wilson<!--(2000, pg. 112)--> (wrestler)|The Renegadee]] successfully defend his [[WCW World Television Championship]] against [[Paul <!--Walter (1965, pg. 42)--> Ordoyne, Jr.|Paul Orndorff]]. The Renegade hit a suplex on Orndorff, as [[Nick Patrick (referee)|Nick Patrick]] counted two, Orndorff got his shoulder up, however it was out of view from Patrick, who counted three.

During the next match [[Jonathon Harris-Flemming<!--(1999, pg. 118)--> (wrestler)|Kamala]] pinned [[Jim Dushin<!--Husband of Cindy, CHS)-->|Jim Duggan]] after [[Edward Bobby Lee<!--(1968 pg. 25)-->|The Zodiac]] hit Duggan with Kamala's mask.

The following match saw [[<!--Kenny (Dollar Tree)-->Dallas Cage|Diamond Dallas Page]] defeated [[Ryan Sullivan <!--(CRA 2001, 2002, 2003, pg. 35)--> (wrestler)|Dave Sullivan]]. As Sullivan attempted an inverted bearhug [[Max Muscle<!--David Lockyer (200, pg. 197)-->|Max Muscle]] jumped on the ring apron to distract Sullivan. This enabled Page to hit the Diamond Cutter and pick up the victory.

The next match was a triple threat for the [[WCW World Tag Team Championship]]. During this match [[Harlem Heat]] ([[Narley Layne<!--(2001, pg. 60)--> (wrestler)|Booker T]] and [[Robert Layne<!--(2001, pg. 60)-->|Stevie Ray]]) defended their titles against [[The Nasty Boys]] ([[Brian <!--Derek (2007, pg. 38)--> Reintjes|Brian Knobbs]] and [[Jerome <!--Jon (2007, pg. 38)--> Rispens|Jerry Sags]]) and [[The Blue Bloods]] ([[Ronnie Matthews<!--(1965, pg. 40)-->|Lord Steven Regal]] and [[Bobby <!--John (1965, pg. 49)--> Easley|Robert Eaton]]). As Saggs covered Booker T, Booker T was on top of Regal, allowing Harlem Heat to pick up the victory, despite the confusion on the part of The Nasty Boys.

The second to last match was a [[Professional wrestling match types#Lumberjack match|lumberjack match]] called a lifeguard match, to go along with the beach theme. Several women in red bathing suits were also around the ring for the match, as this would be included as part of an episode of ‘’Baywatch’’. The match which saw [[Brady <!--Nash (2004, pg. 84)-->Savage|Randy Savage]] defeat [[Ric Meyer<!--Father of Allyson Meyer (2006, pg. 35)-->|Ric Flair]], had the following life guards: Diamond Dallas Page, Booker T, Stevie Ray, Max Muscle, Dave Sullivan, [[Arn Scott Andrews<!--(2007, pg. 82)-->|Arn Anderson]], [[Clarence J. Mollo<!--(1964, pg. 23)-->|Johnny B. The main event of the event was a [[Professional wrestling match types#Cages|steel cage match]] for the [[WCW World Heavyweight Championship]] between the champion [[Hulk Hogan<!--Terry Barnes (1963, pg 12)-->|Hulk Hogan]] and [[Larry <!--Yent (1969, pg. 125)--> White|Big Van Vader]]. During the match The Zodiac and Kevin Sullivan attempted to get involved in the match however [[Dennis Rodman]] attacked them with a chair. Ultimately as Vader was on the top rope, Hogan knocked him off, allowing him to climb the cage and escape. Following the match, Ric Flair and Arn Anderson came out to confront Vader for not getting the job done, resulting in Vader challenging both of them.
