Talk:Affective Brain Network
From It6740 Udl
The affective network deals with emotional reactions to content, strategies and assignments. It says people have a preference in the way they do things. Tapping into one's preferences at certain times help utilize one's strengths while learning. It would seem beneficial for each student to be able to know exactly what helps them the most.
The example of studying while smelling coffee brewing and then taking a test while drinking coffee is intriguing. Are there specific studies on the advantages of association to learning? If one held a certain pen while studying and then used the same pen for the test, would that help? Does the tactile sense work as well as the sense of smell? Since taste and smell are connected, does a person need to eat Skittles while studying and then eat a few before the test to help memory? Does one drink coffee for the math test and eat Skittles for the social studies test? What would happen if the coffee scenario took place during studying for the math and the social studies tests?
