This did not last long as market forces soon resulted in Nemonos moving to a more traditional style of urban development. In 2007, the City of Nemonos changed its name to Nemonos City to avoid conflict with the State of Nemonos. Also in 2007, Nemonos City merged with the adjacent city of Maple Heights to form a larger more efficient municipal organization.
