Enscriptia Island

Enscriptia Island is an island colony of the Kiravian Empire.

History

Enscriptia was visited by Kiravian explorers over 300 years ago. In 26322, a contingent of 200 Kiravians arrived to start a colony. Under the first Governor, Roald Longbranch, the Island was successfully established as a wealthy, productive small colony. As the island was previously uninhabited, Kiravian settlement of the interior met with no resistance.

In the 27230's, wealthy Kiravians began emigrating to Enscriptia to secure land estates. With the sudden influx of wealth, Enscriptia became a very high-class society. Four prestigious universities: Charlotte University, Highland College, Brownstone University, and Speyside, were founded in the province.

Geography

Enscriptia consists of a generally low-lying island(although there is upland in the interior).

A gradually rising coastal plain makes up the entirety of the colony's coastline. It is here that the largest cities and towns (Cardinia, Luxgin, Silverstream, Edwardston) are located. The interior of the island has a slightly higher elevation, and some small hills and upland.

Deciduous temperate forests cover all areas of the island, aiding in the conservation of the alfisolic soils.

Demography

Enscriptia has a population of 820,212.

The population is stable, with low birth, death, and immigration rates.
