Fanlin Island is a Kiravian airstrip colony. It is the closest KE posession to Ixania.
The island is home to 700 people, 220 of whom are connected to Fanlin Airforce Base. A further 360 are connected to Fanlin Airstrip or the airline service industry. The remaining 120 work in local buisnesses, or in government.
The island is governed as an Administrate, as per the Strategic Sovereignties Act of 21198. The island's affairs are seen to by a Governor-Resident appointed by the Emperor. No local politics take place outside of local committee elections and the occasional referendum.
Municipalities
Fanlin Island is divided into five Sarlinav or townships:
- Insula Fanlin Aeromilitûn
- Iþasca
- Vontsar
- Baecôta
- Airstrip South
Each Sarlin, though named for the principal settlment, acts as a countyship, and internally recognises nonpolitical subdivisions corresponding to smaller settlements.
Fanlin Airbase is the sole exception, in that it consists of a single settlement, and has its administration handed up to the Imperial Military. Laws made by the Governor-Resident can be ignored on the base if the commanding officer so chooses.
