Alphinsula is a Kiravian territory in an island group off of Ralkovia.
History
After the decision of the Ralkovian government to sell the island group, the Kiravian Empire had interests in Section A4, an island with deposits of silver, oil, and gemstones. The island was purchased, and the Empire moved in. Before the arrival of the colonisation team, the territory was known as Alphatetra (A4), but was renamed unpon arrival. 500 settlers lead by Hector Lostforest established the town of Raynsar on the island, and set up onshore mines for silver and beryl.
Praetor Thenris Candlea also allowed Falkasia to pursue interests in the region, giving them access to the oil deposit and the permission to settle 50 Falkasian permanent residents on the island. Falkasians aided the KE colonists in road-building efforts, and other construction projects in return.
Politics
Alphinsula is a Territory of the Empire, meaning that the Governor holds all executive power over the island in the name of the Emperor and the Praetor.
The current Governor is Hector Lostforest, whose capital is located at Raynsar.
Demographics
About 620 people live on Alphinsula, though a census has not yet been issued for that territory. Of these, 400 live in Raynsar, 100 in the two other Kiravian setlements (Argensór and Lumipetra), and about 120 in the Fordockian settlement, for which the name is unknown.
