National versus international brands in Lithuania / Portugal.
National brands in Lithuania
1925 January 27th the president of Lithuania Aleksandras Stulginskis in the news of government announced the law of “the law to protect Lithuanian brands”.
Till the autumn of this year the brand of Lithuanian tourism and business will be created. The project of creating this brand started in 2006.
The creation of Lithuanian logo is still in progress. There is published a competition of creating it. Although this competition is being asked to stop because of the problem of logos similarity to Canada’s Ontario province London city (created in 1855), which opposed proposed creating this type of National Lithuanian logo. Eventually creating this type of Lithuanian logo was refused and now there are being searched other images of creating it.
Lithuanian logo: The slogan for Lithuanian logo would be: “the natural – green”.
