Ion+anthos: IMHO diminutives aren't bad. What it bad is the irregular way that some languages use to form them. If there is a simple regular way, e.g. little/big + noun for every noun, there should be no difficulty in usage.

Ion+anthos: Do you mean noun capitalization should be forbidden or should be used to mark nouns? This is a forbidden list. BTW capitalization can only mark nouns in writing. If we want to mark them in speaking we better use a short affix.

Ion+anthos: I would forbid affixes (prefixes or suffixes) which do not have any meaning by themselves, but you are probably right that in some cases they are not really needed. For instance redo means to do again, but re- does not have a meaning by itself, there is no re word. The meaning of re should be again. So, it would be better to say to do again using the word for again as a separate word, there is no need for affixes in this case.
