Aalya

Aalya is the goddess of time, and one of the most powerful deities in existence. Her control over time is absolute. She is best known for offering aid to the Hero of Time when he was attempting to save Termina, and has continued to watch over the realms ever since, though many people have forgotten about her completely.

Aalya has complete mastery of time, being able to reverse time, stopping time, alter the speed of time, and - the most devastating of all - removing people from time itself. Those who serve her gain similar powers, though they may specialize in only one of these traits. It is rare for one to be able to master all of these powers, though possible for those who train hard and long enough.

One of the facts concerning the deity of time that makes her so powerful, however, is not in the area of power but of wisdom. Aalya has the ability to look forward in time and see how various factors in the world will affect the future. She can see how every small detail will alter the way things play out, which means, in the long run, that she effectively knows everything. She uses this knowledge to foresee how her interfering in certain matters will change history, and she or her servants intervene accordingly.
