Tektites are another common creature found amongst the monsters of Hyrule, usually in mountainous areas where it's powerful legs give it an advantage.
Appearance
Tektites have fairly flat bodies suspended on four long, thin legs. They have one large eye, and leap great distances easily. They come in both red and blue, although the differences between these two breeds are only in color, and that the blue tektites are slightly more durable.
Intelligence
The tektite shows fair intelligence in its attacking strategy. A tektite will tend to keep jumping around, making it nearly impossible to hit, and land on its opponent. Often they will leap just as you attack, showing they have good reflexes.
