Jim Byrnes

Steeped in the blues in St. Louis, Jim Byrnes studied acting in Boston in his youth before being sidetracked by a stint in Vietnam. A long time resident of Vancouver BC, Byrnes has participated in many blues concerts and festivals, and has been involved with many special events, including the recent closing ceremonies for the Torino Paralympic Games.
An extremely versatile blues musician, Byrnes has written and sung songs that range from deep country to cracked-sidewalk city blues with equal flair and soul. His credits also include a wide variety of appearances in film and TV, and many voice roles. Jim Byrnes has 4 albums released to date. They include a Juno winner 'That River' and Juno nominee, 'Fresh Horses' (the more tasteful Canadian version of the Grammy), and another album on the way this spring.
