Vernon Robinson

Vernon Robinson (September, 1955) is a conservative African American politician who is a former city council member and current resident of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He is known for very blunt campaign ads with slogans such as "Jesse Helms is back! And this time, he's black." Robinson's political ads often express his disdain for homosexuals and illegal immigrants.

Robinson served as a Missile Combat Crew Commander and Intelligence Officer in the Air Force, and graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 1977 with a B.S. in Middle Eastern Affairs; he received an MBA from the University of Missouri, and has also been a business professor at Winston-Salem State University.
