In order to supply a game with a variety of play styles we have decided to incorporate different "builds" to help define uniqueness. Possibly at the start a player may choose the path they intend to follow, or a build might simply be which areas they spend their points in and which armors/equipments they choose to use. Or even have the player play through a short part of the story and learn about the different paths they may choose then have them make a choice into which they would like to take their first steps in before they move on. • Ability to hack into computers to unlock doors etc.
  • X-ray vision ability to view through walls. Use limited by energy.
  • RPG equipment type system. Equip heavy weapons/armor to be juggernaut that relies on high firepower and high defenses. Or equip stealth / light armor to be ninja.

Play Styles

In order to supply a game with a variety of play styles we have decided to incorporate different fields that a player can dive into so that they can develop their character's skills and attributes to compliment their choice of play style. These different play styles have no absolute name or way they have developed the fields available. Some of the general play styles that a player can follow are:

  • Heavy Juggernaut type: Relies on heavy armor and high firepower. Heavier armor allows the ability to carry more destructive weapons and to withstand more damage taken however reduces movement speed. Is capable of using all weapons and specialises in heavy ranged weapons.
  • Ninja type: Relies on stealth and speed. Wears light armor to allow for quick and precise acrobatic movements. Mainly uses melee weapons or light handguns.
  • Engineer type: Specialises in technology. Wears medium armor and can use upto medium weighted weapons. Also has access to various droids and other devices to help in aggressive and defensive matters.
  • Sniper type: Excells in long ranged attacks and traps.
  • Aura type: Relies on buffing self and debuffing enemy to gain the upper hand in combat.

Devices

Within the game there will be many different devices available. Some secluded to only certain cyborg classes and some require training in specific fields to obtain, while others may simply be discovered during ones ventures. Some devices if dropped due to being used may be repicked up, however some devices are single use only.

  • Holographic Decoy Device: Emits a holographic representation of the user which will imitate behaviour of the user. It can run to nearby cover points and distract the enemy into firing upon it allowing the user to either relocate or take offensive action without being under fire. However if the enemy is aware the decoy being a hologram they will not be fooled so easily.
  • Remote Video Cameras: Camera's that can be shot at surfaces and will stick in place, proving very helpful if the user is stuck behind cover to shoot into the rooms corner to see the enemies positions.
  • Gravity Displacement: A device that allows the user to become out of phase with gravity. Effectively making their reaction with gravity at opposites compared to everything else (eg they fall away from the planet rather than towards it). This can be very effective when in doors or wish to board a ship outside or structure that is too high to reach by jumping. Possible advanced stages of this technology allow for displacement at 90 degrees allowing for "sideways" movement.
  • Short-Ranged Teleportation Device: A device that provides short ranged teleportation.
  • Time Dialation?

Perhaps there could even be certain technologies that become available to the player and their playstyle could help determine the manner in which they develop that technology. For example with the Gravity Displacement, a ninja style player is best to develop this for movement purposes, whereas a juggernaut could use it to allow even more carrying capacity, a sniper style player for improved accuracy (less weight in weapons allow for less control needed to handle the weapon) and an engineer could use the technology for weaponry purposes such as grenades that create a brief very strong gravitational pull which crushes all nearby enemies into each other).
