General RP Rules
- Please use correct English spelling and grammar. No chatspeak. I will be hard on this. I'm not saying all your posts have to be full of wit and style, but please just make yourself easily understandable.
- There's no limit to how many characters you can make; in fact, we encourage you to have more than one character!
- Follow Posting Guidelines, as detailed below
- No modding. That is; don't overpower your characters. Even if your character is really good at something, he's not going to be perfect all the time. Also, don't control other people's character's without their concent. Also, remember that just because YOU know something it doesn't mean your character does.
- Simply a common sense rule out of respect; if two people are having a nice RP session, don't barge in ^_^ .. of course, unless circumstances warrant it, since life can't always be perfect
- Please contact a moderator if you have qualms with how something in the RPG is going; be this anything either a plot of a moderator does. Contact doesn't mean yell at/for publicly either, it means send a personal message or contact on instant messenger
- In the In-Character forums, don't post OUT-of-Character comments. MAKES SENSE, YES?
- Sex. A world without it would hardly be believable. So .. It's allowed, but please don't be too explicit. Heavy implication and then 'fade to black' should be more than enough, because sex is not the focus of this RP and because it's not everyone's cup of tea. All of the admins are fairly lenient on this, but if they see something that goes over the line they will swoop down and edit it, and probably give a small warning. Also, no rape. In threads with sexual situations, ask a mod or admin to add a warning tag or add one yourself if you're the thread starter.
- Profanity. We're very lenient about this. But please don't go overboard or be too explicit. Also, if you're easily offended by profanity, please don't join this RP ^_^ .. because we really won't control it too much.
- Killing other characters is only allowed if the player of the character being killed consents. Killing NPCs is fine, of course.
- That brings us to NPCs. NPCs are simply characters that might appear once (like a random bandit that attacks you) or reoccur frequently (like the barkeep of the tavern you visit everynight). You don't have to submit applications for NPCs, but don't use them as an excuse to have more characters without submitting applications. They're there to make the world more believable and realistic. Also, note that NPCs can be controlled by people other than the creator; but please don't warp the original concept of someone elses NPC too much! If someone creates a handy barkeep that works at the tavern every night, don't make him go crazy and start randomly killing people. Basically, use common sense.
Posting Guidelines
Posts should be made in third person, using clear and correct English grammar. When characters speak, please use quotation marks. For things such as thoughts, which other characters can't hear, please use italics. Posts don't always need to be a paragraph long, especially if you're having a fast-paced discussion with another character, but try to be clear and descriptive. Tip: Make sure to type out any body language or movements your character does, and be sure to include private thoughts once in a while!
