Appearance: Lerato is slightly taller than average, though aside from that there was nothing spectacular or even noteworthy about his figure. He had rather angular facial features, and despite his age he had managed to retain the look of a youthful man rather than an aging mercenary. Most would find him to be quite friendly, which was mainly due to the cheery smile he liked to wear so often. Around the town he preferred to wear simple clothes of white that were occasionally a bit too large for him. When duty called, however, he wore a heavy chain shirt, a breastplate, greaves, lengthy gauntlets that ran to just behind his elbows, and many small metal plates to protect him, all of which were stained black. Lerato would wear no helmet into battle, allowing his lengthy brown hair to run down his shoulders in a long braid.

Background: Lerato grew up the son of a farmer, a life he did not intend to doom himself to despite the love he had or his father. He led a content childhood, all things considered, and made a fair amount of friends in his home community. At the age of fourteen he joined into a band of mercenaries that operated out of an old fort near the border of Audvera. They primarily concerned themselves with keeping the region safe from hostile beasts and the occasional band of bandits. He gained fame for himself in several smaller campaigns to keep the border safe, eventually earning himself the rank of Captain amongst the others.

As time went on the band had less and less work to do, until it eventually dissolved and left Lerato without a job. He has since resigned himself to the life of a simple sellsword, though he hopes to once again find himself on a true battlefield. Currently he spends most of his time travelling between the cities of Rivercrest and North Forest, taking jobs where he can and doing much to help keep the local taverns in buisness. Aside from the occasional bodyguard duty or job killing woodland beasts Lerato is largely unemployed.

Personality: Most people remark at Lerato’s kindness upon meeting him, and find him to be a truly pleasant man to be around. He enjoys the company of others and conversation, especially when it’s over a good drink in a warm tavern. Those who serve under him tend to admire his ability to motivate and lead troops, though some argue that he can push his men a little too hard in the name of victory. Though few had actually seen it happen before, Lerato could have quite a temper if pushed the right way. It was rumored that he could be truly terrifying when he was mad... though, this might have simply been because it happened so rarely and didn't seem to suit him.

Wielded Weapons: Lerato wields a long sword of a unique design. The sword’s hilt flows into two blades that run parallel along the base of the primary blade about an inch and a half in length. Its primary blade is wider at the base, then thins into what would be considered an average width for a sword before coming to a point. It appears to be quite light despite its odd shape, as he uses it in one hand. Apparently Lerato had taken to calling this odd blade ‘Chadul’, though where he got such a name is anyone’s guess.

Runes: Lerato bears a very unusual rune on his right hand, one called the Eight Devil rune. It allows him to make a few shadow duplicates of himself for brief periods of time to assault his enemies.
