Appearance: Kage seems to be the living embodiment of the vampire legend, perhaps a foreshadowing at birth. Her hair is long and black, and falls straight and beautifully down to the small of her back. Her eyes, wide and almond shaped, are a violent red color that illuminate her ivory colored skin. She is thin and of medium height, standing at around 5’6” and weighing around 123lbs. All of her limbs are long and slender, making her easily flexible and extra sneaky.
She is always adorned in black, heavy clothing. She prefers robes and cloaks, sometimes with a corset or something embroidered with red roses. Her nails are an inch long, each, sharp and the color of blood, matching her eyes and the hue of her thin lips.

Background: Kage was born as any regular human would be born. She was born with the name ‘Katherine Gillon’, a daughter to a noble family in the kingdom of Rugney. She was proper, a perfect daughter and elder sister, and was promised to make a fine woman in society some day. Despite her unusual looks, she was often sought after by men, but many people claimed that she was a vampire, bitten by the people of old times. These rumors never effected Katherine; she was afraid of nothing.
One day, while traveling with her family towards the Cayes Grasslands, they passed through the Hiam Forest. After a days worth of travel, they were ambushed by a group of bandits. The carriage was overturned; the horses were stolen, and the driver was ripped of his belongings and clothing. Katherine watched as her younger siblings were murdered; her sister was raped beforehand. Her father died next, watching as the men raped her mother. Then the men came for her, as her mother wept on the ground; she never saw her die, and figured they kept her mother for further ‘use’.
They ripped apart her clothes and began to molest her, when her mother bashed the man’s head with a rock. Katherine ran, wildly, into the darkness of the forest. She was battered and cut, and bleeding profusely from large cuts on her arms and legs. Eventually, she collapsed in the forest, waiting for death; she was scared. That’s when the Blue Moon Rune came to her, promising long lasting life. It brought out feelings in Katherine she had never felt before; rage, a deep lust, a passion for revenge. Katherine accepted the deal, and woke up the next morning to found herself renewed and clothed.
But then something felt wrong, and she began to feel weak. She felt herself getting strangled, and tripped through the forest until she came upon a camp; the bandits camp. Once again, rage fired through her veins- she killed every single one of them with her bare hands, a new strength and agility guiding her. Afterwards, releasing that their blood is what vanquished her pain, she drank it with a smile of sweet revenge. That night, she realized what she had become; she didn’t stop crying.
After that, Katherine renamed herself ‘Kage’, after the shadows that she lived in. She remained in the Hiam Forest’s for the winter, hunting on travelers and large beasts and living in an intricately carved cave, and she stayed clear of all other vampires. When Audvera heated up, even if just for a little bit, she headed for the towns, where she would stalk people for their blood. In most Audvera towns, she became known as ‘The Scarlet Rose’.

Personality: Ever since becoming a vampire, Kage has become a cold and distant person. She does not believe in ‘getting to know your dinner’, and believes in either a quick and painful death, or transformation to a vampire for those that fear death. She has been in solitude for longer then most have ever been alive, and therefore has become accustomed to it. She has forgotten anything about her previous life, all those years ago, and anything she may have learned while she was ‘Katherine’.
She does not show any emotion aside from the few the Rune ever granted her; lust, passion, anger, although she has developed a slight amount of mercy for her victims. Despite the revenge she fulfilled, she intends to murder any human that she can without wiping out the entire population; she intends to be cruel and to do it slowly, thus marking high ranking officials as her targets. She has been known to release her lust and passion in much-less violent ways, suppressing human’s savage needs and desires as well as the one’s she attained as a vampire.

Wielded Weapons: Kage sees no real need for weapons; she is more agile and flexible then most creatures, aside from elves. However, she carries with her a set of weapons; a dagger and a short-sword. She forced a grand master weaponsmith to forge them for her, made of a black metal and sheathed in a thorny, twisted, scarlet rose vine. She usually refers to the dagger as ‘Scarlet’ and the short-sword as ‘Rose’, but together she calls them her ‘children’.

Runes: Kage, having been a complete lady of society before becoming a vampire, had never attained any runes. She is hoping though, however, to one day regain the Blue Moon Rune for herself and the other vampires that choose to follow her.
