Dragon Knights

The Dragon Knights of Rugney are an organization which is dedicated to bringing justice to the world. They have participated in many wars as volunteers, helping those whom they believe have been wronged. They had deep ties to the government of Rugney, though they are technically autonomous.
They are based in the city of Melphy. Each Dragon Knight must first go through basic training before having the chance to raise a young dragon from birth, and train it. The Knight and the Dragon grow up together, serving each other as loyal friends; dragons are too smart to be sully indentured to humans, but they go along with the concept of the Dragon Knights just fine.
Ranks
The Dragon Knights have various ranks;
- Trainee - Those who do not yet have their own Dragon. They are usually kids 10-15 years old.
- Lance-Corporal - Still not an active Rank, all dragon knights serve a decade as a Corporal to train the dragon as they mature.
- Corporal - The main body of the Dragon Knights. Upon becoming a Corporal, they are a fully recognized Knight.
- Sargent - Knights who have been recognized for their leadership abilities, there are always 5 of these. They serve under the Captain.
- Captain - The Captain of the Dragon Knights, and bearer of the Dragon Rune, they are not allowed to participate in battles.
