Victoria - there could be two reasons for this haeppning. One I hope you're not trying to add it to a personal profile page because static pages only work on "Like" pages and second - you already added the app to your page. To see if this is the case, go back to step #5 and the third part. See if there are any apps listed there that say "Static FBML" and email me at amy@amymooreportraits.com if you want more tech help. I'm happy to help you figure this out. So far this has worked for a lot of people.
