Umaro immune to unequip

From the game Final Fantasy III for the Super Nintendo

If you use the ship's "Unequip All Party Members", it won't unequip Umaro of his relics. Most probably an overlook by the creators, due to Umaro having no equipment menu. So you have to take his relics off by default, while everybody elses is taken off automatically.
