Super sonic with yellow shield

From the game Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Sega Genesis.

It is required that debug mode is enabled although cheating for the emeralds isn't. First turn into super sonic and find anything that can still kill you such as drowning, getting crushed or falling into a pit and before the screen fades go into object editor mode go somewhere safe, then find and break open a shield box. There is also a video below with a tutorial kinda.
