Skip a Shine Sprite

From the game Super Mario Sunshine for the Nintendo Gamecube

On stage 1 of Bianco Hills, you can skip its shine sprite and go on with the rest. Complete it as usual, but don't collect the shine sprite. Instead, go on and defeat Petey Piranha. Collect that shine sprite, and you can go onto stage 3 without ever getting the stage 1 shine sprite.
