From the game Metroid Prime for the Nintendo Gamecube

Go to a portal where you go to change from one level to another. Then, take your scanning visor and aim at the red switch you had to use to activate the portal. Quickly press "A" and then "L" and keep "L" pressed down. A kind of artifact will float where you aim. If you press "R" you will be able to move the artifact around.
