Pointless book in a wall

From the game Super Mario Sunshine for the Nintendo Gamecube

Go to Noki Bay in the area with the bottle. Go all the way down until you are at the small castle where there are two little holes. Go in the right hole and turn Mario and the camera to the exit. You will see a book behind the wall.
