Missing cursor

From the game Mario Golf for the Game Boy

Get a character that has a really high level (like in the 90's). This glitch probably works because the character has a high fade, a very high shot, and a very high hitting distance. When you try to do a power swing with a 1W and move the cursor, the cursor moves way off somewhere and you have to change clubs to fix it.
