Jason Death Animation Glitch

From the game Blaster Master for the NES.
In the platform areas, take Jason out of SOPHIA and get him killed somehow. Drop him into the bramble at the beginning of the game, get whomped by enemies, whatever. While he's spinning around, pause the game, then unpause it, and he'll be replaced with this weird little stick thing.
