This glitch may not work depending on the version of Super Smash Bros. Melee you own

In training mode, go to Green Greens as any character. Create a U-shape with the blocks on either side. Then, stand in the U and press start. Now, put as many green shells in the U as you can. Jump out of the U and then jump on the shells. When you jump on the shells, the game will freeze, although the music may continue. You'll have to restart the game.
